Hassan Blasim är både filmare och författare, född i Bagdad men kom som flykting till Finland 2004, där han sedan bl a gjort en del kortfilmer för Yle. Hans novellsamling är nominerad för flera litterära priser, bl a Independent Foreign Fiction prize 2010.
